Create:
The largest park in southeastern Kenya's with a total area of 21 000 km2. Founded shortly after World War 2, by train- and road link between Mombasa and Nairobi is divided into East and West. The amount varies from 230 m to 2170 m, with the eastern part is flatter than the western part. The Chyulu hills in the north-west of Tsavo West were first 1983 the National Park connected.
Landscape Tsavo East:
By Tiva and Galana rivers divided into three sections, where is the area north of the Tiva as a refuge for animals and is not developed. Characteristic in the Tsavo East is the endless, of dry thorn bush covered distance and the dark red, iron-rich soil.

Tsavo East National Park
The Tsavo East National Park covers an area of 11747 km2 and is the largest national park in Kenya. Together with his slightly smaller brother, the Tsavo West National Park is an area 21 000 km2. That is about half the size of the Netherlands. The two parks are on the web- and rail link Mombasa – Nairobi divided into two halves, each with its own separate administration and access.
The attraction of the Tsavo East is its “Red Elephants”, which from a distance as migratory, red rocks look. Tsavo West Nationalpark

One of the first was reported on the wildlife in Tsavo, a missionary. He wrote 1849 in his diary "A place full of wild animals, such as rhinos, Buffalo and elephants”. Tsavo West is bordered on the north-west of rocky thorn bush savannah and the foothills of the lava field-Shaitani, in the south of the Tanzanian border and the south east of the Taita Hills. He has a size of 9065 km2, which is significantly smaller than the Tsavo East.
Tsavo West is the landscape more varied than its eastern neighbor, for he is of rugged mountains and rocky in the north Lavagürteln, rolling savannah in the middle of dense gallery forests and traversed along the water courses. The year-round water leading Tsavo River crosses the park in the upper third.
